Applywood commissioned DFI to design a range of furniture for a very niche market in South Africa. The Furniture had to be flat-packed for easy shipping and user-friendly at-home-assembly by the customer. This required assembly manuals for each item and a sturdy design that would cater for such assembly.

 

Using only Birch Plywood (an eco-friendly, sustainable, solid wood material imported from Finland) and sheet metal (the most recycled material in the world.) DFI produced the initial range of furniture to suit these requirements.

 

The range is an on going project for DFI.
